A Microscopic Heterogeneous Traffic Flow Model Considering Distance Headway

نویسندگان

چکیده

The intelligent driver (ID) model characterizes traffic behavior with a constant acceleration exponent and does not follow physics. This results in unrealistic behavior. In this paper, new microscopic heterogeneous flow is proposed which improves the performance of ID model. forward lateral distance headways are used to characterize stability models examined over 1000 m circular road disturbance after 30 s. obtained show that more stable than evaluated an 1800 for 150 s platoon 51 vehicles. Results presented indicate evolves realistically because it based on headway.

An improved car-following model considering variable safety headway distance

( a Department of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China) Abstract: Considering high speed following on expressway or highway, an improved car-following model is developed in this paper by introducing variable safety headway distance. Stability analysis of the new model is carried out using the control theory method. Finally, numerical simulations are implemented and the ...

Analysis of Headway of Heterogeneous Traffic on Indian Urban Roads

Headway or inter-arrival time of vehicles is an important parameter in traffic flow, especially in urban roads, since this is one of the main parameters to determine the minimum (safe) gap between vehicles and the capacity. The studies done on headway analysis have mostly concentrated on homogeneous traffic where the flow follows lane discipline. This ideal situation does not exist on Indian ur...

Two Dimensional Mixed Traffic Flow Considering the Transit Traffic

Based on the two-dimension cellular automaton traffic flow model (BML model), a mixed traffic flow model of urban traffic that considering the transit traffic is established in this paper by using theDon't block the box rules. We have investigated the influences of the transit traffic ratio, and found that, in most cases, the urban traffic flow exhibited jam phase. Moreover, focusing on the tra...

Towards Benchmarking Microscopic Traffic Flow Models

For the simulation of traffic flows various macroscopic and microscopic models exist. Developing these models it is important to check the models against reality, whereas there are well-established means how to do this for macroscopic fluid-dynamical models. For microscopic models this work has yet to be done. This article is intended as a first step towards a common benchmarking of those model...
